Mom's Yeast Biscuits

Ingredients
1 pkg yeast ¼ cup hot water 5 cups flour 5 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt ½ tsp baking soda 3 Tbsp sugar 1 cup shortening 2 cups buttermilk
Instructions
1. Soften the yeast in the hot water. 2. Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and sugar. 3. Add the shortening, buttermilk, and softened yeast. 4. Mix and knead. 5. Refrigerate overnight. 6. Roll out and cut into biscuits. 7. Bake at 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
