HOT SPICED TEA

From the original Tang Instant Breakfast Drink package insert — "A Hot Idea for Cold Mornings" — kept with Marye's recipe collection.

INGREDIENTS

1¼ cups orange-flavor Tang Instant Breakfast Drink
½ cup sugar
½ cup instant tea
¾ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp ground cloves
Dash of salt
Boiling water

INSTRUCTIONS
----------------------------------------
1. Combine Tang, sugar, instant tea, spices, and salt. Makes 2 cups dry mix or enough for 6 quarts tea.
2. For 1 serving: place 1 well-rounded teaspoon of mix in a cup, fill with boiling water, and stir until dissolved.
3. To make 1 quart (or 6 servings): dissolve ½ cup of the mix in 1 quart boiling water. Serve with lemon wedges if desired.
