HEARTY ITALIAN SOUP

INGREDIENTS

1 lb mild pork sausage
1 green pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (28 oz) can tomatoes, undrained, cut up
2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
2 (8 oz) cans water
1 Tbsp granulated chicken bouillon (or 3 cubes)
¾ tsp garlic salt
¾ tsp Italian seasoning
1 (8 oz) package macaroni
Shredded mozzarella cheese, to top

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Brown together the pork sausage, chopped green pepper, and chopped onion.
2. Drain the grease.
3. Stir in the tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, chicken bouillon, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning.
4. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
5. Stir in the macaroni; cover and simmer 10 to 12 minutes more.
6. Top each bowl of soup with shredded mozzarella cheese.
