SAUSAGE BALLS
From: Marye
Serves: About 4 dozen • Prep: 15 min • Cook: 20 min at 325°

From Marye's spiral recipe notebook — a notebook of recipes Marye kept with grape-cluster illustrations on each page. This is page 1 of that notebook.

INGREDIENTS
----------------------------------------
1 lb hot sausage
2 cups grated sharp cheese
3 cups Bisquick

INSTRUCTIONS
----------------------------------------
1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
2. Mix the hot sausage, grated sharp cheese, and Bisquick together.
3. Shape the mixture into walnut-sized balls. Flatten slightly if you like.
4. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes at 325°F.

NOTES
----------------------------------------
Marye's note: "Mixture will be very dry. The heat from your hand helps the balls to hang together. May be frozen and baked as you need them."
